Capitol Engineering Group served as the MEP engineer for Kol Shalom, a synagogue located on a scenic 4.8-acre wooded property in Rockville, Maryland. The project features a sustainable HVAC system powered by geothermal energy, aligning with the congregation’s commitment to preserving the natural environment. The design incorporates green building practices, and the project has achieved LEED Silver certification. The geothermal system provides an energy-efficient solution for heating and cooling, reducing energy consumption and operational costs while maintaining comfort within the worship spaces and community areas.
