Capitol Engineering Group provided MEP engineering services for the Center for Digital Imaging Arts (CDIA) at Boston University, located in the former Foundry Theater in Georgetown, Washington, D.C. The 18,000-square-foot facility features advanced studios and classrooms designed to support the university’s cutting-edge digital imaging programs.
Capitol Engineering Group’s MEP solutions were tailored to the unique needs of the facility, ensuring that the infrastructure supported both the technical and creative work of students. The project included the design of energy-efficient HVAC systems, modern electrical systems, and specialized plumbing solutions. These systems were developed to ensure optimal performance, comfort, and energy savings, helping the facility maintain a high standard of operation in an innovative learning environment.
The Center for Digital Imaging Arts is now a hub for digital media education, and the MEP engineering work by Capitol Engineering Group has contributed to its success as a top-tier educational facility in the heart of Georgetown.
