Carlos Rosario International Public Charter School, Washington, DC

Monday, September 10, 2012

Capitol Engineering Group is the MEP for Carlos Rosario International Public Charter School which is a non-profit organization located in Washington, DC. The new school campus will be housed in a 48,000 sft building, and is pursuing LEED Gold certification. The design responds to the irregular shape of the building lot – orthogonal at the West portion, and angling down toward the East. The main common space marks the center of the building and consists of a 3-storey atrium, glazed full height with a curtain wall system. Carlos Rosario PCS – V Street Campus will house a resource center, English and computer classrooms, culinary labs, a nursing aid training lab, as well as a cafeteria and outdoor balcony.
